This cultivated variety of noble fir is not found in the wild.

Identification: While the natual variety of noble fir is an upright conifer, this version is low and spreading, more like a juniper, designed for landscaping. It is about 2′ (60 cm) tall, spreading horizontally, and bluer in color than its natural progenitor. Needles are soft.
