Brachychiton discolor F. Muell. Queensland lacebark
Queensland lacebark is an Australian native, from the rainforest from central New South Wales to southern Queensland. The genus, Brachychiton, means “short tunic”; discolor means “two colors.” Identification: Trees reach 40' (12 m). Bark is smooth. Leaves have 3-7 pointed, divided lobes. Leaves are about 6" (15 cm) in size. Flowers pink or red, trumpet-shaped, with 5 petals. Online References:
